An initiative to provide opportunities and funding assistance to eligible local jobseekers, i-Ready Apprentices and local employees in the private sector including freelance workers to reskill & upskill themselves by taking courses that are less than 1 year offered through the Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C).
The funding assistance will be capped and the maximum limit are as follow:
Age 16-55 years old Does not have a permanent job Registered at JobCentre Brunei
Registered and contributing to Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) Must be registered with: ROCBN, Business Reporting Portal, JobCentre Brunei
Age 16-55 years old Registered & Contributing to Tabung Amanah Pekerha (TAP) Support Letter from Employer (Allowing to Participate in chosen course)
The type of courses that are offered varies, including CET (Continuing Education and Training) short courses and professional courses. The list of courses will be reviewed from time to time according to the industry needs. Course Method: Classroom based, Online Learning and/or Blended Learning (Online and Classroom). 14 Identified areas are as follows:
SPIN in Accountancy is an initiative under the Learn and Grow Program by the Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC), Prime Minister’s Office supported by the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Brunei Darussalam Institute of Certified Public Accountants (BICPA). It provides funding assistance to local jobseekers and local employees including i-Ready in the private sector who meets the program requirements to acquire professional certification in accounting and finance specifically Foundation in Accountancy (FIA), Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Bachelors Degree in relevant fields. Background in Finance & Accounting will be given priority; OR
HND in relevant fields. Background in Finance & Accounting will be given a priority; OR
TVET in relevant fields. Background in Finance and Accounting will be given a priority; OR
An 'A' Level in Accounting; OR
Local employees who possess the relevant working experience & is currently employed in a registered private company/firm OR An active i-Ready apprentice whose host organisation, including registered companies, has offered a Conditional Offer of Employment
Course Duration: 1 year Course Exam & Papers: 7 papers Quota per intake: 20 students
Course Duration: 2 years (Included 1 year mentorship) Course Exam & Papers: 10 papers Quota per intake: 20 students
Course Duration: 4 years (Included 3 years mentorship) Course Exam & Papers: 16 papers Quota per intake: 20 students

Subsistence allowance will be given and adjusted according to the level of Brunei Darussalam Qualication Framework (BDQF) - this is only applicable to Job Seekers only
i-Ready is an apprentice program opened to local jobseekers holding a qualification of First Degree and above, Diploma (Level 5) and TVET (Level 2-4). Effective 1st of April 2020, new apprentices will undergo the apprenticeship for a duration of 18 months only.
