Overview
The Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) is a council under the Prime Minister's Office that was established in November 2019 as per consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The objective of the council is to address unemployment related issues, effectively and efficiently. This includes constant collaborations with industries and education and training institution in increasing the employability of Bruneians.

​"Berkaitan dengan Sumber Tenaga Manusia pula, Beta telah memperkenankan bagi Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) ditempatkan di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, bagi memikirkan langkah-langkah berkesan ke arah meningkatkan peluang-peluang pekerjaan dan menangani isu pengangguran.
